Butchers Lamb

Includes the following classes:

• Three butchers lambs (actual live weight up to 32kg)
• Three butchers lambs (actual live weight up to 40kg)
• Three butchers lambs (actual live weight over 40kg)
• A single butchers lamb

Breeding Sheep

The breeding sheep are split in to seven sections: Suffolk, Charollais, Texel, Shropshire, Zwartbles, Any Other Breed and Cross Bred.

In the Suffolk, Charollais, Texel, Zwartbles and Any Other Breed sections there are the following classes:

• Aged Ram: any ram over two years
• Shearling Ram
• Ram Lamb
• Aged Ewe
• Shearling Ewe (not having lambed)
• Ewe Lamb
• A group of three, one male, two female

In the Shropshire section there are there are the following classes:

• Ram, shearling or older
• Ram lamb, born on or after 1st December 2011
• Shearling ewe (not having lambed)
• Ewe lamb, born on or after 1st December 2011
• Breeding ewe – any age, to have reared a lamb or lambs in 2012 and shown sheared on or after 1st March 2012
• Group of Three – one male and two females, any age. Open only to animals exhibited in the above classes

In the Cross Bred section there are the following classes:

• A Pair of Cross Bred Ewes
• A Single Cross Bred Ewe
• A Pair of Mule Ewes
• A Single Mule Ewe
• A Pair of Breeding Ewe Lambs
• A Single Breeding Ewe Lamb

There is also a Young Persons Presentation and Handling Competition and Fleece Classes for which different fee’s apply.

After each section is judged the judge’s come together to do the Inter Breed to determine the Champion Ewe Exhibit, Ewe Lamb Exhibit, Ram Exhibit and Ram Lamb Exhibit. Details of Awards and Cups can also be seen in the Schedule along with entry details.
